Letters concerning the importation of alcohol to California, Los Angeles, 1845 Mar, Apr.

Two letters from Pio Pico, Governor of California, to Mexican officials concerning the prohibition against importation of foreign brandy and wine. The first, dated March 30, 1845, refers to the law prohibiting these imports. The second, dated April 1, 1845 and directed to the Secretarios de la Camara del Disputados, mentions initiating a law as directed by the Assembly. This second letter is accompanied by a note from the Camara del Disputados which references the law in question.
